Every solid project starts with solid ground. Frick's Demolition & Excavation handles excavation, cut-and-fill and precision grading across Canyon, Amarillo and the wider Texas Panhandle, giving you a stable, level base to build on.

Whether you need a building pad shaped and compacted, a stock pond dug, or a whole site brought to grade, we bring the equipment and the know-how to get it true the first time.

What's Included

Everything the Job Calls For

  • Building & shop pad prep

Stripped, shaped and compacted pads ready for slab or steel.

  • Cut, fill & finish grading

Moving and leveling material to the grade your plans call for.

  • Stock ponds & retention pits

Dug and shaped to hold water and drain the way they should.

  • Compaction

Material placed and compacted in lifts so it does not settle later.

  • Site drainage

Grading that sheds water away from structures and low spots.

How It Works

Our Process

  1. 01

    Walk the site

We look at the ground, the grade you need and how water moves across it.

  2. 02

    Strip & rough grade

We clear topsoil and move material to rough shape.

  3. 03

    Cut, fill & compact

We bring it to grade and compact in lifts for a stable base.

  4. 04

    Finish & clean up

We fine-grade to spec and leave the site clean.

Panhandle ground is not always easy. Caliche, hardpan and blow sand each behave differently, and we grade for the soil we are actually working in. That local experience is the difference between a pad that holds and one that settles.

Excavation and grading tie into most of what we do, from culverts to driveways and drainage, so we plan the whole job to fit together.
